Damascus has fallen. You may be questioning if this is real. It is. The news is not covering it. We all know the news that we are being fed right now. It’s a curtain to keep us distracted. Damascus has fallen. Not from government power, but from explosions. This is huge news. Sure, we may be miles away, but the aftershock can still be felt. But why is this so important to us? It actually comes back to prophesy unfolding in Scripture. In Isaiah 17,
“See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins.
2
The cities of Aroer will be deserted and left to flocks, which will lie down, with no one to make them afraid.
3
The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim, and royal power from Damascus; the remnant of Aram will be like the glory of the Israelites,” declares the Lord Almighty.
4
“In that day the glory of Jacob will fade; the fat of his body will waste away.
5
It will be as when reapers harvest the standing grain, gathering the grain in their arms— as when someone gleans heads of grain in the Valley of Rephaim.
6
Yet some gleanings will remain, as when an olive tree is beaten, leaving two or three olives on the topmost branches, four or five on the fruitful boughs,”declares the Lord, the God of Israel.
7
In that day people will look to their Maker and turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel.
8
They will not look to the altars, the work of their hands, and they will have no regard for the Asherah poles[a] and the incense altars their fingershave made.
9
In that day their strong cities, which they left because of the Israelites, will be like places abandoned to thickets and undergrowth. And all will be desolation.”
This is literally unfolding in front of us. We are being blinded though by the media. I understand a major event happened with our former president, but how is this not major too? Isaiah continues on to say,
“You have forgotten God your Savior; you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress. Therefore, though you set out the finest plants and plant imported vines,
11
though on the day you set them out, you make them grow, and on the morning when you plant them, you bring them to bud, yet the harvest will be as nothing in the day of disease and incurablepain.
12
Woe to the many nations that rage— they rage like the raging sea! Woe to the peoples who roar— they roar like the roaring of great waters!
13
Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters, when he rebukes them they flee far away, driven before the wind like chaff on the hills, like tumbleweed before a gale.
14
In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! This is the portion of those who loot us, the lot of those who plunder us.”
A famine is coming, but it’s not only a physical one. There will be a famine of believers. Many will turn away from God and dry out His love. It’s coming. We all know it.
I’m going to take a step back and look at all of the historic occurrences that have been happening.
Revelation 16:12
“The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.” (Look at the pics! There’s a hidden message within the river!)
Joel.2
”[31] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.” (The moon is rusting, the sun is going dark, and the Dead Sea is drying up)
Luke 20:25
“There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars and on the earth distress among nations confused by the roaring of the sea and the waves.”
Luke 21:20
ESV
“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near.
Just think about these things. Do any of them ring a bell? These are all unfolding in front of our eyes. I know I am going to sound like that one person with the sign, but the end is coming closer, everyday. None of us know when He’s coming back, but we do know how to go with Him. It is my belief that Christ is going to come back, mounted on a white horse, with angel blowing the trumpets. They are going to be louder than the sound of a thousand rivers. A thousand rivers! Just imagine the vast roar that will be not only heard around the world, but felt by everyone.
Revelation 14:2
“And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps.”
Every knee will bow and He will allow all of us who believe to come with Him. I believe, this is just my belief, that He will spare those who believe from the tribulation. The rest will be left as a chance to change their mind. This is His mercy. This is how He will spare us. All I can say is repent and believe. No amount of money will you get you a ride to Heaven. No amount of good deeds will set you up for success. No amount of going to church and being holier than though can push you up there. Only by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior can you be accepted into Heaven. None of us are perfect. We can, however, try to lead a life for Him and bring others along with us. None of us want to leave our friends or family behind, so share His Word as much as you can!
Be sure to look at the pic of the Euphrates river. It actually is the Greek symbol for Omega.
Revelation 22:13
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
Thank you for reading this far. I hope this inspires you to feel free to share the Word and not be embarrassed by it. It’s hard step for many, but once you experience that feeling of saving someone, you will crave it again and again. Please feel free to share this and just remember these are my personal beliefs.
